Lytestream Electrical was nominated as the electrical contractor for this project. The scope of works involved the design and installation of all electrical services. These services included distribution equipment, lighting, emergency lighting, power, fire alarm, ventilation, heating, data and telephone cabling requirements. Particular attention was required with regard to the lighting design, especially at the styling and hair wash stations. Selection and positioning of light fittings was crucial to the stylists to prevent shadows, thus enabling them to operate on all sides of the customer with a constant light level.
Another area which required particular attention with regard to lighting was the high level open area from reception to first floor, where a circular staircase was to be installed. This created an open void area where we provided a simple but effective solution of hanging pendants at different heights in a circle to mirror the staircase and create a lighting feature which was both practical and pleasing to the eye.
