This project formed part of a nationwide rollout programme which entailed the refurbishment to reception, offices, staffroom and toilet areas. Due to the extensive works required by all trades on this site, it was necessary to set up temporary accommodation to enable day to day operations to continue without disruption. Temporary cabins were installed which required lighting, power and communications while the alterations took place.
The electrical works to the main building comprised of the strip out of existing services and installation of recessed and surface lighting, emergency lighting, power, electric heaters, data and telephones. The external requirements consisted of replacement lighting and signage cable installation. After the refurbishment had been completed a further changeover after trading hours took place to disconnect the temporary cabins and restore communication to main building for the following morning to allow trading without disruption.
